Which one are you the Networker or the Marketer

A couple of days ago I was listening to a special call and I heard a saying about Network Marketing that really shocked me. The statement was that there are two words in Network Marketing and they both mean different things. The first word is Network which means networking, a networker is someone that is always out there making contacts and meeting people to help build there business. The second word is Marketing which refers to a marketer, if you are a marketer you’re good at bringing people in the business by advertising.

Now when I first got started I wasn’t a network marketer, I was just a marketer. I would just advertise and advertise to bring people into my business but over time I found that I had become a good networker as well (not the best but good).

The best part is even me being one dimensional I still was able to build a six figure income in my Network Marketing business. I have also seen many people that are great networkers have the same kind of success.

The point is that even though there are two parts to network marketing you don’t have to be perfect in both areas. Identify which one you are better at and start growing your business that way and over time you can develop the other skill. Whether you’re a networker or a marketer you will notice that as long as you are working the other skill will develop as you go along.
